7月26日，市局公共关系办公室召开新闻发布会，宣布首届平安北京市视频拍客大赛和邻家所长影像评选活动正式启动。其中视频拍客大赛面向社会，征集群众拍摄的，为北京做出贡献的人和事的影像。邻家所长由中国传媒大学派出专业团队，分别拍摄三十个优秀所长，年底将举办盛大的颁奖仪式，对获奖作品及优秀所长进行颁奖。
