The FBI reportedly determined that Huawei equipment installed in the United States was interfering with U.S. Strategic Command communications. In 2017, China proposed to build a Chinese garden in Washington, D.C. The location is very conducive to collecting information on the US Congress and the government. Even more bizarre is the fact that Chinese officials wanted to send the building materials to the United States in diplomatic pouches that customs officials were prohibited from inspecting for the construction of a pagoda in the courtyard. China has been acquiring land near critical U.S. infrastructure, including Huawei equipment atop cellphone towers near U.S. military bases in many rural Midwestern regions. An in-depth investigation by the FBI has determined that Huawei equipment can collect and interfere with U.S. Defense Department communications, including those used by U.S. Strategic Command, which monitors the country’s nuclear weapons.
Simply interpreting it, even if China did not crack the encrypted calls of the U.S. military, it could record the frequency and duration of the calls, from which some regularities could be found, and the U.S. military’s nuclear weapons intelligence could be analyzed.
