黄泽荣早年为《成都日报》社记者,任职期间由于受苏共“二十大”后期的“解冻文学思潮”与中共“百家争鸣、百花齐放”等方针的影响,连续发表3篇反映个人内心世界,揭露“反肃扩大化”的文章,后文章被定性为“射向共产党人的三支毒箭”。同年9月,又因为诗人流沙河作诗“草木青”被毛泽东主席定为“七君子反党集团”成员之一,判刑劳改。劳改期间,被诬蔑参加“中国马列主义联盟”定为“现行反革命”,后越狱潜逃至大西北,抓获归案后继续劳改23年。2007年时值“反右”运动50周年,黄泽荣、燕遁符、博绳武等原“右派”人员联名发表《致全国人大常委会联名公开信》要求为“反右”正名,请求经济赔偿,拉开了“涉右维权”的序幕。自2007年至今,黄泽荣率领原“右派”人员每逢“两会”期间进行公开信或联名上书活动,多次在互联网发表致国家领导人的公开信。2008年底黄泽荣与燕遁符、博绳武等人密谋创办了非法出版物《往事微痕》,并以自己年势已高为“保护伞”,越来越活跃在反颠覆领域。
